This year, the second edition of Genk in-Game (GiG) will take place on 7-8-9 May 2010 in the city hall of Genk with a total surface are 1000sqm.
This large area for this gaming event is divided into 2 zones:
 
1. a restricted LAN-area with an initial setup for 120 LAN-gamers with the option to expand the network to 200 LAN-gamers. The confirmed competitions are Call Of Duty 4 (4vs4), Counter-Strike 1.6 (5vs5), Counter-Strike Source (5vs5) and TrackMania Nations Forever (1vs1). Spire products will be linked to these competitions as rewards for the best gamers/clan.

2. a public area which is also free accessible to all visitors. Since the location of our city hall is in the middle of the commercial center we expect a large population in this area (500+) over the weekend. In this area we present several shops, demo- and promotional stands, console gaming, XL gaming,... We already have confirmation of Nintendo, Gamegear.be and 1Gameshop. We expect some others names to confirm within the coming days and weeks.

Spire is proud sponsor of the Nantarena events, first Nantarena 10.2 which will be held on February 6 and 7, 2010, and Nantarena 10.3 on April 24 and 25, 2010. The first will bring together approximately 100 people, while the second will bring together up to 250 people (maximal capacity of the venue). Games that are played in a tournament are CounterStrike Source, DotA and Left 4 Dead. Those games are 5vs5 games, except for the last one which is 4vs4.

P-SpecGaming is a south wales based LAN Party, with a new city center venue with up to 200 spaces for a BYOC LAN, excellent travel connections, private car park, vending machines and a internet connection. We host a varitiy of competitions during the 48 hours of the LAN including 5v5 Counter Strike Source, Free for all and team Death match Call of Duty 4 and 5 and various other smaller games. We usually have alot of prizes to be won at the event and are supported by local gaming communities / teams and sponsored by some of the biggest companies in the computing world!

We are doing this for over 3 years and accomplished alot both online and offline via game-events. Since our gaming community grew to a point that it has more then 1000 members, we decided to put all of this into one big event. We teamed up with TweakLAN and together we will set a Deluxe LAN for gamers to watch and experience.
