For those who are about to purchase a new cooler from Spire will get the already upgraded version including 1366 retention-set.

In addition to the already launched TherMax DYI Core i7 solutions is Spire introducing their new SI Thermal solution for System Builders and Channel markets. The CoolWave i7 utilizes a quality heat-sink with a large copper core and aluminum radial-fin design. The Omni-directional heat-sink ensures airflow is directed to all motherboard key components located around CPU. Each aluminum fin splits into two smaller fins at the end creating an even larger heat-dissipation area. Equipped with the Intel approved push pin mounting mechanism this cooler assembles swift and secure. Topped with our patented BlueStar fan, size 95x35mm, providing ample airflow for optimum cooling. The PWM fan function ensures the RPM is automatically regulated by the motherboard according to system usage and temperature. This means under normal operating conditions, the CPU fan speed is relatively low maintaining low noise levels.
